Welcome to episode 43 of Blast From the Past. In this episode, Judy decided that she liked the idea of housekeeping so much from last week's show that she'd continue it this week. For the benefit of new listeners, we talk at some length about how Judy started podcasting and how Blast From The Past started in February 2009. We then talk through her progression through to the current day. We also tell the difference between Blast From The Past and Judy's Blast FM. We find out about some projects that Judy has been involved in with Erk's help namely the 300th episode of Zaldor's World, a small vocal part in a new song by Devo Spice from The FuMP and a part in the zombie podcast novel Dead Hunt by Kenn Crawford. Then we talk about one of Judy's favourite subjects, bull riding (again) and Erk asks a really good question. Welcome to episode 35 of Blast From The Past. This is a very different episode of Blast From the Past for several reasons. Firstly, there is no Erk. That means that Judy is flying solo on this episode. Why? Well, Judy has been wanting to do this episode for a while. No, it isn't Horses part 2 or Elephants part 3. They are coming. This episode is a relaxation episode. For many years, Judy has been using a relaxation tape to help her get to sleep. A few listeners have said that this show relaxes them and puts them in a good mood to sleep so they do. So instead of our usual format, Judy decides to make a relaxation tape with her voice instead of the lady on her tape. So sit back (or lie down) and relax. Relax. Relax. Relax. Calm blue ocean. You are feeling sleepy. Does anyone actually read the show notes?

Welcome to episode 34 of Blast From The Past. On this episode, we have a look at Erk & Judy's involvement with fire. One of Judy's jobs with the Army (listen back to episode 33 if you haven't heard why Judy worked for the Army) was to work the fire siren on the base and to notify the on-site fire brigade and the local fire brigade about fire drills and actual fires. Later she joined what was then the Bush Fire service (and what is now the NSW Rural Fire Service) as a trainee volunteer in communications. A few years later, Erk also joined the NSW RFS, firstly as a firefighter and then also in communications. On this episode, you will also hear Erk and Squeak talk about their roles in the NSW Rural Fire Service. This interview was conducted by Squeak as a part of National Podcasting Post Month (aka Nannapoopoo) last November. And finally there is a song and the poems are back!

There are a few stories comparing Erk's Year 10 Formal (Junior High Prom, Americans) and the Year 12 Formal (Senior Prom, Americans) to the other night and what changes Erk found between those school times and now. But keeping within the theme of Blast, we talk also a bit about what an RSL Club is, Judy wonders about if people still have Debutante Balls like they did in her day. Also, we talk about how this one was organised via Facebook - of course, Judy didn't have Facebook! We think out loud about future reunions, and a lot more.

Judy asks Erk about people that he went to school with that she knew and Erk says what a good time he had.

Were there surprises? For sure!

Where there fights? The only fight Erk remembers was the fight to get a cab home! Oh, and the fight to get last drinks.

Did people who missed out miss a great night? Yes, they did.

Is Erk glad that he went? Hell Yeah!
