Near Widow's Hill Victoria meets Sam Evans who tells Victoria about Josette Collins. Victoria finds out from Sam that Elizabeth has not left Collinwood in 18 years. Sam instructs Victoria to tell Roger that he wants to talk with him. Victoria returns to her room to find that David has helped her "pack" while she was out. Victoria changes her mind and decides to stay at Collinwood with renewed hopes that she will find out something about her past.

The program was created, written and directed by Alonzo Deen Cole.Cole's spooky show was hosted by Old Nancy, the Witch of Salem, who introduced a different terror tale each week. The role of Old Nancy was created by stage actress Adelaide Fitz-Allen, who died in 1935 at the age of 79. Cole replaced her with 13-year-old Miriam Wolfe, and Martha Wentworth was also heard as Old Nancy on occasion. Cole himself provided the sounds of Old Nancy's cat, Satan. Cole's wife, Marie O'Flynn, portrayed the lead female characters on the program, and the supporting cast included Mark Smith and Alan Devitte.

ights Out was an American old-time radio program featuring "tales of the supernatural and the supernormal." It was immensely popular, and was one of the first horror programs, predating Suspense and Inner Sanctum. In its heydey, Lights Out rivalled the popularity of those shows.
Lights Out ran through several series and networks, from January 1, 1934 to August 6, 1947. The principal sponsor was Ironized Yeast. Most episodes were broadcast at midnight. Lights Out then made the transition to television in 1949, where it was broadcast until 1952.

The first Hall of Fantasy originated from radio station KALL in Salt Lake City, Utah. Richard Thorne and Carl Greyson were announcers for the station and produced the rather bare bones shows, possibly late in 1946 and into 1947.

The shows were written or adapted by Robert Olson and directed by Mr. Thorne. Most were classic murder mysteries with traditional endings, the evil-doer got his just rewards. It ended when Mr. Thorne and Mr. Greyson went their separate professional ways.

The Hall of Fantasy aired again in 1949 when, by pure coincidence,Thorne and Greyson were working at in Chicago. This reunion led to their reviving the series. This time, the series featured stories involving struggles against the supernatural where man was usually the loser, specializing in shock endings.
