Batman: Gotham Knight is a direct to DVD anthology of animated shorts that bridge the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. On the writing side we have Josh Olson, David S. Goyer, Alan Burnett, Jordan Goldberg, Greg Rucka and Brian Azzarello. On the directing side five directors - Shojiro Nishimi, Futoshi Higashide, Hiroshi Morioka, Yasuhiro Aoki and Toshiyuki Kubooka - from three Japanese animation studios - Studio 4ºC, Production I.G and Madhouse. The disc will be in stores July 8th.

Gerber dictated the outline to Countdown to Mystery #7 from his hospital bed, and Adam Beechen will be writing that issue. Then, for the eighth and final issue Gail Simone, Mark Waid, Mark Evanier and Adam Beechen will each write their own 4 page ending to the story the way they thought Gerber would have done.

From the Black Eyed Peas, musician Will.I.Am is to play Wraith in the Wolverine movie. Also, Kevin Durand as the Blob, Dominic Monaghan as Beak and Daniel Henney as Agent Zero. A cast of thousands! A million laughs! Or so I hope, because if they don't start billing this as a farce I'm going to think someone in the production staff has lost their minds, thinking anyone should take this seriously.

Along with listing the upcoming Iron Man and Incredible Hulk movies (hitting theaters on May 2nd and June 13th, respectively), Marvel reiterated that writers have been engaged for Captain America, Thor and The Avengers films, while Ant-Man has both writer and director. Punisher War Zone is slated for a September 12th release, while X-Men Origins: Wolverine is slated for a May 1, 2009 release.

Wolverine and the X-Men, an animated television series, is slated for a spring, 2009 release, with Hulk: The Animated Series and a property called Super Hero Squad. Iron Man: The Animated Series is slated for a spring 2008 release.

There's a rumor that a direct to DVD animated movie of Marvel Zombies may be made. I for one hope not, unless they make it a more adult oriented film.
